Epikutánní testy

Epikutánní testy slouží ke zjišťování kontaktní alergické dermatitidy, která je 4. typem imunologické reakce. Spočívá v aplikaci podezřelé substance na kůži zad na 48 hodin, odečítání probíhá ještě po dalších 24 a 48 hodin. Interpretace výsledků bývá velmi obtížná. Cílem článku je shrnout současné znalosti o této vyšetřovací metodě.

Patch tests
Patch testing is a well established method of diagnosing contact allergy and contact allergic dermatitis which is a delayed type of type-IV reaction. The patients are exposed to the suspected allergens for 48 hours, the results examined over the following 24 to 48 hours. It is not easy to interpret the results. The aim of this article is to summarize current information about this investigative technique.
