Co je a co není direktní koronární angioplastika?

Vzhledem k velkému rozvoji intervenční léčby akutního infarktu myokardu v České republice a připravovanému národnímu registru nemocných s tímto onemocněním se autoři zamýšlejí nad přesnou definicí pojmu direktní (primární) perkutánní koronární angioplastika v širším slova smyslu. Uvádějí několik příkladů, které by mohly způsobit interpretační potíže, a vyzývají k diskuzi předních odborníků k této terminologické problematice.

What is and what is not primary coronary angioplasty?

Because of rapid progress in interventional treatment of acute myocardial infarction in Czech Republic and preparation of national register of this disease the authors discuss precise definition of primary percutaneous coronary angiography. They present several cases that could cause problems with interpretation and call for discussion of leading specialist on these terminological aspects.
