Specifická alergenová imunoterapie u alergií a astmatu

Termínem specifická alergenová imunoterapie (SIT) je označována prolongovaná aplikace alergenových extraktů pacientům s prokázanou

alergickou etiologií, za účelem snížení aktivity jejich symptomů. SIT může změnit alergický pochod rozvoje senzibilizace inhalačními

alergeny a předejít vzniku nových typů této senzibilizace. Detailní mechanizmus účinku SIT zůstává neznámý. Je prokázáno, že SIT je

účinná v léčbě alergií na hmyzí bodnutí, u alergické rýmy a alergického astmatu.

Allergen-specific immunotherapy for allergy and asthma

Allergen-specific immunotherapy (AIT) is the term used to describe a prolonged process of repeated administration of extracts of allergen

sources to patients with a demonstrable allergic etiology for the purpose of reducing symptoms. AIT may alter the allergic march

of inhalant allergic sensitization, also prevents the development of new sensitization to inhalant allergens. The precise mechanism of

action of immunotherapy remains uknown. AIT has been demonstrated to be effective for stinging insect hypersensitivity, allergic

rhinitis and allergic asthma.
