Aktuálne názory na liečbu bipolárnej afektívnej poruchy

Bipolárna afektívna porucha (BAP) je komplexná porucha, ktorej liečba vyžaduje nasadenie a kombináciu veľkého počtu psychofarmák, ako sú stabilizátory nálady, antidepresíva, anxiolytiká, hypnotiká a samozrejme antipsychotiká. Racionálna kombinácia niektorých z týchto medikácií, správne dávkovanie, trvanie liečby a individualizácia liečby spolu so psychoedukáciou predstavuje ideálnu formu liečby. V tejto práci priblížime najnovšie trendy v liečbe BAP, výhody a nedostatky dostupných farmák, zameriame sa na jednotlivé preparátya tiež preberieme možnosti liečby tejto poruchy v gravidite a počas laktácie.

Current trends in the treatment of bipolar affective disorder
Bipolar affective disorders is a complex disorder for which treatment includes a high number of psychotropic medications, such as mood stabilizers, antidepressants, anxiolytics, hypnotics and, of course antipsychotics. The rational combination of some of these drugs, the right dose, duration of treatment, and individualized treatment, together with psychoeducation constitute the ideal form of treament of patients suffering from this disorder. This paper presents the recent trends in the treatment of bipolar affective disorder, focuses on advantages and side effects of the availabe medications and on the treatment of this disorder during the pregnancy and breast-feading.
